In honor of Rivalry weekend, here are my favorite shots from Rangers vs. Caps and Rangers Vs. Devils games. Edited to look vintage using VSCO on my nexus 5
If you didn’t know, I also run official-NHL, I’m going to be posting on this one a lot, and I mean a lot less during the season. I’ll post funny ranger things (Like nash falling down) but I don’t have time to run two blogs simultaneously so I’ll be focusing more on the official-NHL one.
Feel free to follow me there as there will still be a lot of Ranger gifs.
You can find that blog ——> Here
To get you all ready for the new season here’s an infographic I made that takes a closer, more in-depth look at the 2013-2014 NHL season/schedule.
Hope you’re ready for another season full of gif’s and goals.
A series that put two similar styles up against against each other made it tough for both teams but in the end Boston proved to be too much to handle for the Rangers.
Boston wins the series 4-1
Brian Boyle scores a PPG and the Rangers tie up the game as they fight for their season.
The story of this game so far has been King Henrik. This is just one of his many saves as he flashes the glove.
McDonagh makes it 1-0 for the Rangers!!
Rangers tie it up with 1.3 seconds left in the second
Oh and everybody take a moment and appreciate Nash jumping like a Kangaroo.
The game of ice hockey means a whole lot of things to a whole lot of people. For some it’s an outlet, for others, a way of life. Whether you’re looking to escape or looking for unity. The game night rituals we all go through, whether it’s in the locker room, on the rink or in our own living rooms unite us all when the first puck hits the ice.
Then we wait
We wait for that moment that takes our breath away. The big hit, the gloves dropping, the go ahead goal. That moment that turns ordinary men into our heroes and weekend nights into unforgettable memories. Have you ever followed your team from the very start to the final whistle? You don’t just watch, you experience and you share this with thousands of others that cheered along with you all while silently knowing exactly why you’re all there all there. Sports fans understand why their team matters and why they cheer. At times we ask eachother why do we care so much? After all they say, it’s only just a game. Only a game? Hardly.
This has never been only a game, it means too much to too many people for too many reasons for it to be, just a game.
